One
of the primary goals of Aarohan is to foster among parents and siblings of
its children, the culture of volunteering their time within Aarohan with
various programs as well as outside Aarohan in various community
activities.
Parents will play an important role at the
Resource
Center
as well as the Outreach
program. They will accompany their children to Aarohan, be involved in the
day to day activities, and will form the main component of Aarohan's
volunteer force. Children will have the opportunity to participate in
recreational and cultural activities with their parents and
siblings.
A mentoring program will be an essential part of Aarohan.
This program will be available to children at the Resource Center as well
as the children in the Community Outreach program Housewives, college
students, teachers, corporate employees and office workers will
participate in this program as individuals or part of a group initiative
sponsored by their employers.
After school activities will be
supervised by a force of volunteer teachers, mostly college students.

school curriculum when needed.
Each family with a child in Aarohan
will be assigned the care and supervision of another child, less fortunate
than theirs.
